Serving Clients In And Around
The Austin Area
I am Gregory Hitt, I represent people in Travis, Williamson and Hays counties in issues such as divorce, high-asset and complex divorce, child custody and visitation agreements, relocation disputes, prenuptial agreements and estate planning. I am Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Since family law matters often have a long-term effect on parents and children, I work closely with my clients to ensure they are prepared for life after divorce, and understand the financial and legal consequences involved for them and their children. I care about the problems my clients face in divorce and other family law matters. However, I am able to also keep enough professional distance to advise my clients based upon the facts of their case, not upon emotion.
Areas Of Service
Family Law Attorney *
I have more than 20 years of experience representing clients before courts in Texas in Travis, Williamson and Hays counties. * I am Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a certification I received in 2008 and have maintained since. I am also a member of the Texas Bar College. The College recognizes Texas lawyers who attend at least double the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) required by the State Bar of Texas. I care about knowing the law and remaining current on changes to the law.
While no lawyer can guarantee a result in a legal case, given the facts, I have a good sense of what a fair outcome would be, allowing the client to evaluate the risks and possible outcomes of a hearing. This helps me negotiate the best possible resolution to your case. It also helps me advise you on when you should stand your ground.
Working toward a resolution that works for you.
Many Family Law Cases
Can Be Settled Out Of Court
An out-of-court resolution is frequently in the best interest of all parties in a domestic dispute, particularly when children are involved. However, when litigation is necessary, I am an aggressive lawyer who will represent your interests in court.
